A few notes on process, timing, and what to expect when commissioning a suite.
Ideally 6–9 months before your wedding date. This allows time for custom watercolor artwork, revisions, printing (including letterpress and specialty finishes), and shipping. Limited rush timelines may be available depending on the season.
Suites typically include the invitation, envelope, reply card and envelope, and details card. Higher tiers expand to weekend itineraries, accommodations cards, menus, programs, place cards, and custom day-of pieces. Every suite begins with original watercolor artwork created for your celebration.
Yes. While the atelier is based in Charleston, we work with clients across the United States and for destination weddings. Consultations are held virtually, and finished suites are carefully packaged and shipped.
Absolutely. The published suites are starting points. Most commissions are fully bespoke — from original watercolor maps and venue illustrations to custom monograms, ribbons, wax seals, vellum overlays, and invitation boxes. Private Atelier projects are designed entirely around your vision.
Full suites begin in the mid four figures and scale with complexity, quantity, and specialty finishes such as letterpress, embossing, and hand-painted elements. Pricing is provided during private consultation once we understand guest count, suite components, and desired upgrades.
After an initial consultation, we develop a custom design direction with original watercolor artwork. You will review digital proofs, request refinements, and approve the final suite before production. We manage printing, assembly, and shipping so the process remains clear and considered from start to finish.
Yes. Menus, programs, place cards, signage, and other day-of pieces can be commissioned on their own or as an extension of your invitation suite. Many couples begin with invitations and add day-of paper later in the planning process.
